our mission

RAISE UP DISCIPLES TO IMPACT THEIR WORLD

We are a community of believers from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We come from different walks of life and we all are being transformed to be more like Jesus Christ.  We are passionate about living our lives as fully devoted followers of Christ, caring for one another, and sharing the transforming love and power of Christ with others.

OUR STAFF

  • PASTOR JIM & PASTOR KELLY TUTTLE

    LEAD PASTORS

We met on the SU hill and have been married for 25 years. We have four amazing children and love going to the beach, sports, really anything that allows us to spend time together as a family. We both attended Missio School of Ministry (which originated at Faith Chapel) and Jim received his MA in Practical Theology from Regent University. Faith Chapel has been our church since 1996 and we have served in youth ministry, children's ministry, small groups, outreaches, construction and women's ministry as volunteers. We came on staff in 2003, starting in youth ministry, then Jim moving to co-pastor alongside Faith Chapel's founding pastor, Dr. Lee Simmons, while Kelly filled the role of Care Pastor. We became the senior pastors in 2009 and are honored to lead this amazing Faith Chapel family.

OUR VALUES

WE ARE GROWING TO BECOME MORE LIKE JESUS

WE ARE A FAMILY LIKE NO OTHER

WE ARE CATALYSTS FOR ENCOUNTERS WITH GOD

WE WONT STOP UNTIL WE CHANGE THE WORLD

These Values are important to us because they identify with our culture right now, but also shape our decisions in the future. As we pursue our mission to raise up disciples to impact their world, these values keep us on track.

OUR STORY

Faith Chapel held its first service on June 6, 1989 when ten families met at the Onondaga Hill Club hall led by Pastor Lee Simmons and his wife Avrille. After meeting and growing for three years in various rented locations, we purchased our first church facility in November of 1992. Though it was outside the target area, it was “a real church”, an important step in getting established. Two years later, the Lord graciously allowed us to purchase a 79 acres on Onondaga Hill!

Over the next year we grew to three weekend services and plans began to formulate and finance a building program. Pastor Lee called the church to fast and seek the Lord. What emerged through prayer was God’s plan to build - without borrowing - using the time, talent, and treasure of God’s people. One year later, by God’s grace, the land was paid off and we broke ground on a beautiful 11,600 square foot church facility. We did over 90% of the work ourselves and with much attention to excellence, we moved in to the facility less than two years later debt free. We held our first public service on Easter Sunday 1999 at our present facility.

God has used Faith Chapel as a ministry to raise up workers for the harvest and sends them out into the harvest field. In the last decade, Faith Chapel has moved from the addition to multiplication as we have both planted churches and sent missionaries to various countries. We continue to seek God for more.

In January of 2009, our Founding Pastor Dr. J. Lee Simmons, passed the leadership of Faith Chapel to one of his spiritual sons, Pastor Jim Tuttle. Dr. Lee currently oversees Missio Global Ministries as founder and president and Pastor Jim along with his wife Pastor Kelly are the Lead Pastors of Faith Chapel.
